SIMDONDAR is an internal inventory and logistics management system designed for Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) to support blood bank operations and medical supply management. The system was designed to handle complex workflows such as stock management, request submission, approval processes, and barcode generation for blood samples and medical items. The primary challenge was designing a system that could support multiple user roles, strict access control, and clear operational flows while remaining scalable for future module expansion.

  1. System & Workflow Analysis
    Analyzed logistics workflows, approval processes, and user roles involved in PMI’s inventory and blood bank operations to identify key system requirements and constraints.
  2. Role & Permission Design
    Defined role-based access control, including Superadmin, logistics users, and approval roles, ensuring that menus, actions, and features were visible only to authorized users.
  3. Information Architecture
    Structured the system into clear modules such as Master Data, Logistics Operations, Approval & Fulfillment, and Administration to support operational clarity and scalability.
  4. User Flow Design
    Designed end-to-end flows for request submission, approval decisions, stock updates, and fulfillment tracking, including a two-step request process with draft and submission states.
  5. UI Design & Design System
    Created a clean, functional interface optimized for internal operational use, focusing on data clarity, table readability, and action visibility. A consistent design system was applied across modules.
  6. Developer Collaboration
    Worked closely with developers to ensure feasibility of complex features such as role-based permissions, dynamic forms, and barcode generation with Zebra-compatible (ZPL) output.
